Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
